Farm park superstar

Kiwi Valley Farm Park has an exciting new role available!

We are seeking a mature, well-rounded, animal loving individual who can commit to managing our farm park every SATURDAY and SUNDAY.

Your job will include, (but not limited to):

  • Set up of the farm (cleaning out animal pens, leaf blowing, ensuring everything is 110% presentable for the public etc)
  • Handling a variety of small and large breed farm animals
  • Dealing with customers, public, small and large group bookings. Providing 110% customer service at ALL times from the moment they walk in the door until they leave
  • Educating children and adults on NZ Farm aspects and all our furry friends (would be a massive plus if you are a farm girl/boy with previous experience, or grown up in this environment)
  • Operating the tractor and trailer (taking tractor rides)
  • Running events such as- Birthday parties, Corporate groups, International groups etc.
  • Helping to organise our volunteers on the farm delegating them daily jobs

You MUST have a FULL DRIVER LICENCE before applying.

This position is best suited to someone who is bubbly, friendly, confident, loud and has a real interest in meeting and greeting new people, of all ethnicities and cultures.

Hours of this position are 8.00am-4.30pm. These hours are nonnegotiable.

Full training will be provided.

Casual farm hand

Kiwi Valley Farm Park is on the lookout for a couple of outgoing, animal loving guys or gals for a customer service based role that involves running kid’s birthday parties, leading school trips, educating children (and adults) about farm animals, plus so much more!

Kiwi Valley Farm Park has:

  • Horse and pony rides
  • Tractor rides
  • Maze
  • Farm walk
  • Small animal nursery shed

This role is part-time/casual meaning you would need to be ok with a last minute phone call for a shift- but we will of course give you as much notice as possible.

Hours will either be: (roughly)

  • 9.00am to 4.00pm
  • 9.00am to 12.00pm
  • 12.00pm to 3.00pm

Depending on what events we have on for the day.

Would best suit someone studying or just wanting to pick up some extra work here and there.

*Full training will be provided as long as you are eager to learn and have a “can-do” attitude.

A background in farming and animal knowledge is preferred but not essential.

Really relaxed easy going team, always down for a laugh!
