Barnyard Birthday

BARNYARD BIRTHDAY

Barnyard Birthday Parties are a great way to celebrate your kid’s birthday with a difference. Your kid’s birthday will be the talk of the school after you bring them down to Kiwi Valley. They can enjoy all the fun of our undercover ‘Party Barnyard’ whilst taking part in the hands-on activities available ‘Down on the Farm’! This makes for a unique and unrivaled birthday experience.

You can also bring food to cook on one of our BBQs, complete with condiments and utensils to make your day that little bit easier! Also menus available on request  from Pukeko Café for kids & adults!

Parties Times:

Party Times Available (We can run two parties at each time slot )
• Morning – 10:00 to 12:00
• Afternoon – 1:00 to 3:00

Birthday Barnyard Package:

Level 3 and 4 Kiwi Valley is CLOSED (deposits will be refundable for this time)

Level 2  Kiwi Valley is OPEN, birthday parties are limited to 100 people in the barnyard

Level 1 or 0 – Kiwi Valley is OPEN, no restrictions

Your day starts at the front office with our farmer from 9.45am or 12.45pm (depending on which time-slot you have chosen). The farmer takes you down to the barn for you to set up any decorations while we meet and greet your guests.

Guests arrive from 10am/1pm and accounted for by your farmer – full payment is arranged at the office once all your guests have arrived. Once you are ready for the party to begin, we bring your guests down to meet you at the barn where we give everyone a short introductory talk about the farm.

The two hours is then for you to spend in the barn and/or doing a personalised tour of the farm!

Often, birthday parties choose to start their birthday with the tour so late comers can join on and not miss out on any birthday fun you have organised! Any tour activities can be re-done later at your own leisure.

With Level 2 restrictions, we have rearranged (a little) to how we usually host our birthday tours. *Please note that the tour may not be in this order to ensure smooth running of your birthday*. The tour is as follows:

  • Holding and petting of rabbits, guinea pigs and rats!
  • One horse ride per person around our arena
  • An exclusive ride on our tractor to see our ostriches, kunekune pigs and a spectacular view of Auckland City
  • Lastly, we send you on the farm walk with a pot of feed each where you leisurely stroll along the hillside feeding goats, sheep and alpacas

Finally, you return to the barn where the remainder of your time is spent enjoying any other birthday activities the host has arranged – like cake and presents!

FAQs

What time can I arrive to set up? The barn will be ready from 9.45am or 12.45pm (depending on which time slot you have chosen). It is not possible for this to be ready any earlier or for set up the day prior due to cheeky mischievous animals!

What happen’s if it’s rainy? All of our activities still run when it is raining. Contact us at least 24 hours before your booking if you are considering not going ahead because of the weather and we can reschedule you (subject to availability). We recommend in winter to let your guests know to prepare for cold and rain so rain jackets and covered shoes or gumboots. The kiddies love the day regardless! Please note, your $60 deposit is non-refundable with cancellation within 14 days.

Does my deposit go toward my party? Yes, your $60 deposit is taken off your payment on the day. It is non-refundable within 2 weeks of cancellation, refer to your Booking Confirmation.

Can we stay longer at the farm? Of course! Please note you will need to vacate the barn by 12.15pm or 3.15pm (depending on which time slot you have chosen) but you are welcome to move onto the picnic tables outside and stay until the farm closes at 4pm!

When do I pay? Payment is required once all your guests have arrived or before your time slot ends. I.e. by 12pm or 3pm latest (depending on which time slot you have chosen).

How will my day run? This is up to you! You are welcome to arrange this prior to your party day or your farmer will discuss this with you on the day. Some things we will need to know is who you are paying for (and/or who is paying for themselves), if you would like to do your tour 1st, last (after birthday activities) or half-half (first half of your tour then the second half of your tour after your birthday activities).

How do birthdays usually do payments for their guests? Some parties pay for the whole party, some decide to ask parents to pay for themselves as it’s only $10, some make a list of who they are paying for and any extras pay for themselves. Anyone who is paying for themselves can advise the front office they are a part of the birthday party and pay separately. They will then receive their coloured entry sticker.
